We have formed a very successful partnership with award winning social enterprise 'Aid to Hospitals Worldwide' to supply and ship a full range of medical and surgical equipment to CBM projects in the developing world.
In the past 18 months, we have successfully sent containers of essential medical equipment to:
Aid to Hospitals Worldwide (A2HW) is considered 'best practice' by the NHS for its cost-saving waste management methodology. A2HW collects redundant but still useable NHS equipment, prepares it for shipment and donates it to charities and recognised organisations working in the poorest communities round the world.
As a bonus, A2HW is able to save money for the NHS and relieve landfill demands by shipping more than 100 tonnes annually.
We are in need of a very wide range of serviceable, new or used equipment, medical and otherwise. Previous donations have included anything from anaesthetic machines, optical slit-lamps to 4x4 vehicles!
We can also provide disclaimers and all the necessary paperwork when equipment is donated to us. We will arrange and cover all transport and onward shipping costs for donations of equipment.
Another extremely rewarding way to help is to cover the costs of a shipment of equipment to one of our projects. Costs usually average around £3500-£6000. We can even help to arrange for you to visit the project and see the much needed equipment being used in its new home.
We are particularly in need of the following types of items:
Gifts like these allow our team and partners to continue providing care, education, rehabilitation and livelihood opportunities to people with disabilities in the developing world.
