National Bring A Phone To Work Day 2010
National Bring A Phone To Work Day 2010 takes place on Wednesday 13th January and we are encouraging our supporters to turn out their old mobile phones and send them to us, so that we can recycle them and earn some cash.

CBM UK and RecyclingAppeal.com want your old and unwanted mobile phones. Perhaps you purchased one of the 1 billion mobile phones that were estimated to be sold in 2009, or maybe you received a new mobile phone at Christmas? Maybe your company has just upgraded their mobiles?
Either way, instead of consigning your old mobile to the bin or a cupboard, why not send it in to us (address below), so that we can recycle them - saving landfill and earning us some cash at the same time?
Did you know?
- There's around 90 million mobile phones hiding in drawers and cupboards just waiting to be recycled - that's approximately 11,250 tonnes!
- There's enough Cadmium in a single mobile phone battery to seriously contaminate 600,000 litres of water (that's about a third of an Olympic pool)
Before sending CBM your old phone, remember to delete all your contacts, text messages and images from your old mobile, remove your sim card, and securely pack the phone in an envelope or small box. If you would like us to acknowledge your gift, please inform us of your name, address and email address so that we can say 'thank you'. If you no longer need the charger or any other accessories that came with your phone, feel free to include these too.
Send your old mobile phones to:
