Tea with Chipmunk

St Mary's fundraisers

A group of fundraisers in Manchester held a fundraising Coffee Morning on 7th June to raise money for CBM.

The group from St. Mary's in Droylsden, near Manchester, raised a fantastic £125 to buy medicines to help combat River Blindness in West Africa.

A surprise visitor

The group were amazed when a chipmunk decided to join in their activities.

Barbara Walton from the Coffee Morning tells us, "At first we were not sure what it was, and some guests beat a hasty retreat".

After some excitement at its arrival, a pet carrier was found and the little furry fundraiser was taken to a local pet shop in a hope that the owner could be traced.

The chipmunk, who is believed to be new to fundraising, was not available for comment.
