A programme providing essential treatment, rehabilitation and training to the people of South Kivu region.
Supported by CBM since 1987, the centre, which is located on the shores of Lake Kivu, is run by the Catholic Church in Bukavu. It serves a population of around four million people.
The centre not only provides medical and rehabilitation services, but it also provides a boarding and day school for visually or hearing impaired children. The school offers vocational and integrated education for these children.
The project is also part of a disability platform in Bukavu (CAPH Bukavu) that aims to improve the social, working and cultural living conditions of persons with disabilities in the South Kivu province.
