A key centre for education and the rights of children with intellectual and hearing impairment in the Kasai region.

The Centre Mpandilu is a large school for more than 350 deaf and intellectually impaired children in the Central Provice of Kasai.

The school consists of seven centres which are integrated into the educational department of the Archdiocese of Kananga.

The school delivers special education and vocational training to its students and actively encourages parents to get involved in rehabilitative activities.

The school's aim is to improve the social integration of children and young adults into society, and it plays an important role in raising awareness of the needs and rights of people with disabilities.
