CBM supports Dr. Andrew Potter, an ophthalmologist who leads the St André de Tinré Eye Hospital in Parakou - the busiest surgical eye centre in Benin.

Andrew has worked with CBM since 1984 and has successfully developed the project at Parakou into a purpose-built, mature and self-sustainable hospital that provides essential treatment and support to thousands of people.

Together with a small team of local eye nurses, Andrew leads outreach campaigns, covering around 19,000 miles a year, to bring eye care services into some of the remotest parts of Benin and into the neighbouring countries of Burkina Faso and Niger.
