The Kissy United Methodist Eye Hospital, which has been supported by CBM since 1987, is a strategic clinic within a busy general hospital in Freetown.
CBM UK-supported ophthalmologist Dr. John Buchan, formerly from the NHS, joined the hospital in 2009 to help increase its capacity and the impact of its services.
With two cataract surgeons, the Hospital undertakes limited outreach campaigns in order to bring essential eye care services to the local population.
