Providing essential rehabilitative therapy to children with Cerebral Palsy.
Programa de Rehabilitatión Páralisis Cerebral (PREPACE) works mainly with children who have Cerebral Palsy and require rehabilitation.
The pogramme is working to improve the quality of life for the poorest people with disability, promoting equal opportunities and full inclusion of people with disabilities in Honduras.
The programme provides a range of rehabilitative activities including early stimulation music therapy, hydroptherapy and physiotherapy. It is the only centre for children with cerebral palsy in Honduras.
The project was initiated in 1986 by parents of children with cerebral palsy in Tegucigalpa, after parents became frustrated at the lack of services for their children.
CBM has been supporting the programme since 1987. Over 300 children benefit from the services each year.
