Dr Andrew Potter
Dr Andrew Potter is a CBM-supported Ophthalmologist based in Parakou, Benin.
In 1971, Dr Potter was awarded a travel scholarship by St John's College, Cambridge and used it to visit Benin.
He has now worked with CBM for 27 years. In Parakou, he works in an eye hospital that aims to provide quality eye care to a poor population in the north of Benin. A third of the hospital's patients come from neighbouring countries, especially Nigeria and Niger, with many traveling long distances to reach them.
