Steve Mannion

Steve Mannion MA Mchir DTM&H DMCC FRCS (Tr & Orth) Hon. Fellow RSM is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with CBM.

Steve, who is a world authority on clubfoot, regularly works in places such as Malawi, Laos and Papua New Guinea where he champions the Ponseti Method - a non-surgical corrective treatment for clubfoot - and actively works to train the technique to others.

In 2008 he was described by the BBC as the "Indiana Jones of Surgery" and appeared on BBC One's 'Super Doctors' series alongside Lord Robert Winston. During the programme he demonstrated the challenges of bringing clubfoot treatment to countries that face the difficulties of limited technology and money.

In February 2009, Steve was the voice of the CBM appeal on BBC Radio 4.

Steve will be the key speaker at CBM UK's 'Sharing the Vision' event at Churchill College, Cambridge during November 2011.
