Christian Blind Mission UK Limited ("CBM UK") is committed to protecting your privacy in every way. Information we collect and how we use it

No personal information is automatically collected by CBM UK as a result of using our website. Any personal and identifiable data that we do collect about you when visiting this site, is only collected on a voluntary basis where you have chosen to provide it to us (e.g. web form, by entering a competition, ordering products, subscribing to email lists). This data is only known and/or passed to us or other carefully selected parties as follows:

  1. To companies or subsidiaries that are affiliated, owned, or controlled by CBM UK Ltd, if any.
  2. To our employees and agents in order to administer any accounts, products and services that we provide to you now or in the future.
  3. Agents who profile our data on our behalf, so that we may tailor the services that we offer to match your specific needs.

CBM UK is registered under the Data Protection Act (1988).

Occasionally we exchange names with carefully chosen organisations, whose values are in sympathy with our own. If you do not wish your name to be passed on to other organisations please contact us in writing or by telephoning us on 01223 484700.

Email and web-forms

When you contact CBM UK via email or a web-form, you may provide us with certain information like your email address so that we can fulfil your request. You may at this time provide additional information as well, such as your postal address and phone number.

Online transactions

When you make a donation to CBM UK through our website, we may ask you to submit certain personal information (such as credit/debit card information) so we can process your donation. All financial transactions made on our website use the highest bank-level security available from RBS Worldpay and the technology used to process your payments and host our website meets PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards.

Your card details are not passed to CBM UK. We only receive your contact details and the value of your transaction, which we enter into a secure database to enable us to provide receipts, record your donation and to fulfil the requirements of our financial auditors or statutory authorities.

You can also donate to CBM UK via a number of third-party websites, including JustGiving.com, CAFonline, Ebay, Ammado and Quidco. CBM cannot be held responsible for the content or security of any third-party website. If in doubt, you should familiarise yourself with the respective website's privacy policy.

Usage of website

We capture site traffic information using Google Analytics - namely cookie data and JavaScript page tagging. Cookies and JavaScript page tags do not record any personal information about an individual's name or physical address during your usage of our website but it does allow us to analyse popularity of our web content and how visitors find and interact with the content. This in turn helps us to improve our online content and usability of this site.

CBM UK accepts no responsibility for the content, security, accuracy or use of visitor information collected by any site linked to our website that falls outside of the cbmuk.org.uk domain.
