The United Methodist Church (UMC) Eye Centre Zing, is located near to Jalingo in the Taraba State that borders Cameroon.
The centre has two eye wards, a well equipped out-patients department, and a large operating theatre.
However, this area has one of the largest incidences of onchocerciasis (River Blindness) in Nigeria, and the number of adults who are visually impaired is very high.
