CBM UK currently supports 10 projects in the following countries in Central and South America:
CBM's work in Central and South America
Through a network of local partners, CBM UK supports medical services, education, and rehabilitation for people with disabilities.
Wherever possible, it is the aim to provide these services within the communities. Therefore, Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) programmes are provided.
CBM and the 2010 Haiti earthquake
CBM had been working in Haiti since 1976 and was there when the devastating earthquake struck on 12th January.
Many CBM supported projects were severely damaged or destroyed and CBM predicts that it will remain working in Haiti to provide treatment and rehabilitation to people with disabilities for the forseeable future.
