CBM UK is supporting Mr Shahnawaz, the newly appointed Country Co-ordinator for CBM in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Mr Shahnawaz joined CBM in March 2008 and worked as a Programme Officer until December 2009. Previously, he had worked for UNICEF and has an MBA in Rural Development.
Mr Shahnawaz is responsible for monitoring and evaluating CBM's projects and for supporting and working with our local partners in Bangladesh. He will be working to strengthen the systems in the country office and develop CBM’s strategy for Bangladesh.
He will also be working to increase CBM’s presence in Bangladesh through networking and alliance building.
Mr Shahnawaz says "I strongly feel that each one of us can make a difference and should insist on equalization of opportunities for all. I dreamt of a day when each receiving hand got converted to a productive one".
