The Community ENT Care services of Dr. Somervell Memorial Hospital is 80kms North West of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and is run by the Church of South India.
The project conducts camps and school screening programmes in the target area. It is also involved in neonatal screening of babies at risk and in early identification. Patients needing treatment and surgery are brought to the hospital.
From 2006, the project has also been making ear moulds and distributing them with hearing aids. A small clinic has also started functioning at their satelite unit in Kazhakootam, 46kms from Karakonam.
