Project Number: 472
This is a very well run primary school for the deaf at the base of Mount Kenya. The school does very well in sport and primary school examinations (the highest ranking deaf school in 2006) and many of the students continue with secondary education. Vocational training is offered in Carpentry and Joinery as well as Tailoring.
CBM has financed construction work at the school, providing new classrooms, dormitories, an administration unit and a vocational training block. The first phase of the project is now complete and the classrooms are now in full use.
Phase Two of the development is now well underway with lighting, shutters, a dining hall and recreation areas under construction.
A 'Thank you' from Kerugoya

The school's children have sent CBM a number of 'thank you' letters, thanking our donors for giving them the chance to participate in a fuller education. You can read their letters in our 'Thank You' feature.
