Donna G. Smyth - "Able Through It"
An inspirational new book - "Able Through It" by author and former missionary Donna G. Smyth of Ballymena, Northern Ireland has been launched.
The book, written with great optimism and humour, describes how Faith has helped Donna through her sixteen year battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Strength and Courage
Multiple Sclerosis affects the central nervous system and as a result of this, Donna, now 40, is given full-time care by her parents - James and Hazel.
"She [Donna] has been unable to walk for five years now and requires a wheelchair to keep her mobile but she is adamant that one day God will help her" says her father James Smyth.
Donna was diagnosed with MS at the age of 24 - just after finishing her degree and post-graduate certificate, but she has continued to show incredible strength and courage. After feeling that she was guided by God to begin writing, she completed the book in 2002 in hope that others could learn from her experiences of living with the condition and how her relationship with God has help drive her determination and stamina to continue His work.
How to obtain your copy
The book is available as an 88-page paperback. You can obtain a copy of the book for £5.00, plus postage and packing by contacting James and Hazel Smyth on 028 2565 6737.
CBM is exceptionally grateful to Donna for choosing to donate the proceeds of her fantastic book to help us continue our work providing treatment and rehabilitation to people with disabilities around the world.
