New Dawn
Together, we can release people living with blindness into a new dawn!
Avoidable blindness traps millions of men, women and children worldwide. Shockingly, cataracts cause around half of all blindness - even though they are simple and inexpensive to treat.
But for people living in poverty, this is out of reach. They simply cannot afford the sight-saving treatment they desperately need.
This Easter, there is good news: your donation will be doubled
Every £1 you donate up to a fantastic £75,000, given before 28th April, will be doubled, so you can transform twice as many lives.
When Jesus rose and Mary found the empty tomb, she ran away in the light of a new dawn, eager to share the good news.
Will you gift someone their sight and the joy of a new dawn today?

Meet Ildephonse
“I don’t know if the sun has set; I cannot see anything at all.” Ildephonse started to lose his sight to cataracts six years ago; now, he says he feels like his life is over. Your doubled gifts will reach people like Ildephonse. Get to know his story here.

Dr Thophile Tuyisabe is an eye surgeon and Medical Director of Kabgayi Eye Unit, Rwanda. He's seen first-hand the tremendous impact a gift can make in transforming someone's life from darkness to sight.
"I meet working people every day who have been disabled by cataracts. It’s a blessing to see them brought in for treatment, then go back to their families the next day, eager to start work again."
Experience a day in the life of Dr Theophile in his journal below - you can use the arrows to turn through his notes.

Until 28th April, every £1 you give towards our sight-saving work will be DOUBLED
Dr Theophile: "Please, if you are able, don’t let this chance go to waste – give what you can today and release someone from avoidable blindness into a new dawn of sight and hope."
With your support today, we can move closer to a world where no one becomes needlessly blind.
Will you make the most of this opportunity and bring a new dawn of opportunity into people’s lives?
Thank you.
For every £1 raised before 28th April, a generous group of CBM supporters will give £1 to fund sight-saving work and other programmes supporting some of the world’s forgotten people living in poverty up to £75,000.
Your donations will support CBM’s work preventing blindness and transforming lives wherever the need is greatest.
