Meet an Eye Health Hero

Meet an Eye Health Hero

Louis Phiri is an Ophthalmic (Eye) Officer in Nkhoma, Malawi. Listen to his account of why sight-saving surgery is so important and can really change lives for people living in some of the world's poorest places.

There is a way for you change lives for people who are being impacted so severely by conditions like cataracts.

Every day, people in the world’s poorest places become needlessly blind. Please, if you can, give a special Christmas gift to help them today.

With your help, we can not only fund these life-changing interventions, but also train health workers like Louis and equip hospitals, bringing eye health services closer to communities to ensure that nobody is needlessly blind.

Thank you.
