A life-changing weekend

Over a single weekend, 34 people had their sight restored at a cataract outreach clinic in Byumba District in Rwanda.

Thanks to CBM supporters and the UK government, a specialist medical team from our partner Kabgayi Eye Unit travelled to the rural area to deliver sight-saving surgeries.

They can now see their loved ones again, support their families and look to a future of hope and opportunity.

This outreach clinic is just one of many ways we’re improving access to sight-saving treatment through our See the Way project which started in 2020. This is all possible thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who gave to the See the Way appeal back in 2019 and match funding from the UK government.

Thank you for helping people to See the Way to a brighter future.
