Peru has one of the best performing economies in Latin America with poverty and unemployment levels falling dramatically in the last decade.

However, one fifth of the Peru’s 31 million people are living below the poverty line, with high numbers of poor children reported to be dropping out of school to help support their families.

CBM works with partners in Peru to prevent avoidable blindness and visual impairment.
