x5 the impact

Transform the lives of more people with disabilities like Chandrakala! For every £1 you donate, our funding partner provides £4 more

Right now, your donation can have five times the impact!

You can help over 15,000 people with disabilities access training to gain independence and a future away from poverty.

Through our partnership with Jersey Overseas Aid, your donation, whether £10 or £1000, will have five times the impact.

Jersey Overseas Aid funding will fund 80% of the project, with the remaining 20% coming from supporters like you.

Support from CBM enabled Chandrakala to access training last year, and she told us, “I’m so happy… I want to prove that a person with a disability can also build a business.”

Make the most of this wonderful opportunity to provide even more people with the skills and training they need to be more independent.

Apasara’s story

Apasara was just 8 years old she lost her leg in a traffic accident.

For many years, she struggled to get about, and relied on the kindness of friends and family to get enough money to eat. Thanks to CBM supporters, Apasara has received training in how to run a business, as well as a prosthetic leg and rickshaw.

“Nowadays I am very happy, and I am delighted to say that I can cover my own expenses”, she says. Apasara has gone from a position of staying within the confines of her home to being able to drive her son to school and join in with community events.

“I am in the position that I am helping others, so I am very happy, I am depending on myself and not depending on others.”

It’s clear to see how much Apasara’s’s life has been changed. You can help five times as many more people with disabilities in Nepal today, and change five times as many lives.

Chandrakala, 32, had always wanted to be a beautician, but because of her disability she couldn’t get the training she needed. Through our Futuremakers project, we supported Chandrakala in achieving her dream.
