Become a Church Ambassador

Thank you for your interest in becoming a CBM Church Ambassador. By doing so, you will be joining a special family of people across the country who are helping to spread the word about CBM’s vital work, transforming the lives of disabled people in the world’s poorest communities.

We hope that by joining our Ambassador programme, you will be able to share your passion for CBM and you will feel a valued part of our team.

What will the role involve?

The role will depend on how involved you’d like to be and how much time you can spare. The overall purpose of an Ambassador is to advocate for CBM and raise awareness of our work in your church or community.

How much time do you have to spare?

3 min per month

Receive our quarterly Disability Matters newsletter and prayer diary, and place them in your church where people can take a copy.

5 min per month

Using our quarterly prayer diaries, why not ask if you can incorporate a prayer for the work of CBM into your service every now and then.

10 min per month

Ask your vicar if it would be possible to take a collection for CBM. You can always use the videos we supply to give an overview of CBM’s work.

15 min per month

Approach your church council or leadership team to see if they would consider CBM as your church charity of the year.

20 min per month

Request a collection tin from CBM, and put it in your church along with a poster and leaflets. This will need emptying when full and donations sent to CBM.

1 hour per month

Talk about CBM during your service, using the church resources. This could be done on CBM Sunday in the week of World Sight Day, or at a time of your choice.
