Big Give Christmas Challenge 2019

Our Big Give Christmas Challenge (open link in new tab) starts today! For one week only, from 3rd-10th December, every £1 supporters give unlocks £9 more to help children living with sight problems in the world’s poorest communities.

Starting on Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving, this 1-week campaign offers people the chance to make 10 times the impact with every generous gift they give.

Every day children like Nahel, from West Africa, become needlessly blind because of conditions like cataracts that can be easily treated.  Donations to our Big Give Christmas Campaign will restore sight to children, helping them access surgery, glasses and support so they can go to school, escape poverty and build a brighter future.

A £40 gift today will equal £400, enough to buy ten school sight-test packs so children’s vision problems can be identified early and treated. The quicker a child has treatment, the better their future prospects.

Together, we can create lasting sustainable change, from cataract surgeries costing just £95, to strengthening health & education systems through training, equipment and policy-development.

Donations to the Christmas Challenge (open link in new tab) will unlock additional funds on top of The Big Give match from our funding partner, meaning every gift has TEN times the impact.
