TV chef announces support for See The Way

Ivor Peters, aka the Urban Raja, TV chef, food writer, traveller and lifestyle adventurer, has announced his support for our new appeal to help people See the Way to a brighter future.

He said:

“I’m delighted to be supporting CBM’s See the Way appeal because nobody should go blind just because they can’t afford an operation, or struggle at school because they don’t have a pair of glasses. And now is a great time to help because the UK government will double public donations to the appeal between 15 February and 14 May, so every pound you give will make double the difference!”.

Every day, people in the world’s poorest places become needlessly blind because of conditions that can be easily treated. Too often for people living in poverty, losing your sight also means losing the chance to go to school, live independently or earn a living.

Our See the Way appeal will help more people access sight-saving surgery, glasses and support so they can go to school, read and write, get around safely and support themselves and their families.

UK Aid Match logoGive between 15 February and 14 May and your donation will be doubled by the UK government, helping twice as many people See the Way to a brighter future. Public donations will support CBM’s work preventing blindness and transforming lives wherever the need is greatest. Match funding from the UK government will improve access to sight-saving eye-health services in Rwanda.
