Food writer and broadcaster Ivor Peters, also known as the Urban Rajah (open link in new tab), has urged churches to get involved in Christian Blind Mission Sunday (open link in new tab) this October, to help give sight to the world’s forgotten people.

Christian Blind Mission Sunday held on 13th October is an opportunity for churches to learn, pray and fundraise to prevent blindness and help people who struggle to see in the world’s poorest places.

“I’ve been a fan of CBM’s work for a very long time. Their hands on work embodies the message of the social gospel; vital, life giving and joyous. You don’t just need eyes to see… you need vision! I encourage all churches to join in celebrating Christian Blind Mission Sunday!”

Watch our short film (open link in new tab) voiced by Ivor Peters, about a 5 year-old girl from Uganda who has been living with cataracts for almost 2 years. Learn how your church’s support could turn Shalom’s life around – helping her to go to school, play with her friends and be a part of her community.
