For 2 years, Salomé has been blind due to cataracts, which have robbed her of vision, leaving her isolated, struggling to care for her grandchildren and unable to read her precious bible. But next week, this grandmother’s life could change forever, as she undergoes cataract surgery at CBM’s partner hospital in Rwanda.
CBM will be sharing Salomé’s story during this momentous week. Through daily updates from Rwanda, supporters will be able to witness the challenges that Salomé has been facing and be part of her journey to recovery.
CBM’s Rosi Jack, will be reporting from CBM’s partner hospital on Salomé’s story:
“This is a great chance for people to see the daily challenges that people like Salomé face, living needlessly blind, and the huge difference that eye services make. CBM supporters are already part of Salomé’s journey, as their support that is enabling her to finally access surgery, so we hope that supporters will also be able to witness the transformation their generosity brings about. Hopefully, this week will be truly life-changing for Salomé and her family”.
