Every girl, everywhere text.

Girls with disabilities like Ropafadzo are missing out on an education. You can change that.

Girls with disabilites are missing out on school

Every girl dreams of a bright future, and education is the key to unlocking it. But so many girls with disabilities in poor communities, like Ropafadzo from Zimbabwe, are being left out.

It can be as simple as providing a girl with crutches or a wheelchair, making school environments accessible and having a teacher who knows how to include children with disabilities in learning.

Meet Ropafadzo

Ropafadzo is thirteen from Zimbabwe, Southern Africa. She walks three kilometers to school on her crutches, everyday.

Despite this challenge, Ropafadzo loves school. One of her favourite things is playing wheelchair tennis!

Ropafadzo told us:

“I can do anything the others can do. When I grow up, I want to be a teacher.”

Ropafadzo is lucky enough to attend an inclusive school CBM is working with, but her family struggled to afford a pair of crutches that were right for her. And now, her crutches are starting to break.

There are so many girls like Ropafadzo who never get the chance to go to school, get around the classroom, or are included in lessons.
