We believe that every organisation has both the capacity and the imperative to become more disability inclusive. Through our Advisory work, we can help your organisation to achieve this. For more information, please email advisory@cbmuk.org.uk
Through our Technical Advisory Services, and in partnership with the disability movement, we are working for a more inclusive and equitable world where individuals, organisations and institutions actively practice and promote disability inclusion and protect rights under the CRPD.
Accountable to the disability movement, and putting the voices of people with disabilities at the heart of everything we do:
- We work in authentic partnership with the disability movement – local, national and international Organisations of People with Disabilities – in our advisory work.
- We draw on world-leading technical expertise in Mental Health, Community Based Inclusive Development, Inclusive Eye Health, Neglected Tropical Diseases, Climate resilience, Disaster preparedness and Humanitarian response from across our Global Federation to inform our advisory work.
- We draw on evidence from our programmes and research to demonstrate the benefits of inclusive policy and practice, to inform innovation, and to advise and influence others to embed disability-inclusion into their work.
CBM UK offers bespoke disability inclusion Advisory Services, enabling you to put inclusion into practice. With a long history of working in partnership locally, nationally and internationally, we listen carefully to your particular needs and put together a tailored package which could include:

CBM UK’s Technical Advisory work is part of the Inclusion Advisory Group, an initiative of CBM Global Disability Inclusion.
“World Vision UK sought CBM UK’s expertise to advise and support on disability inclusion in programme and policy work. In addition to the tailored and practical training and workshop provided by Kirsty and her team, they also helped us think through the ways we can mainstream disability inclusion across organisational operations, within grant projects and advocacy initiatives. We also identified disability inclusion champions as a result of the training – many of them continuing to uphold inclusion in our work not only in policy and programmes, but also contributing to our external and global networks and thought leadership.”
Aimyleen Gabriel, World Vision UK
“They challenged our whole organisation to think critically about disability inclusion, equipping us with language, tools and understanding to make step changes across different parts of the organisation. CBM also gave bespoke training to our International Programmes team, which not only helped the team but enabled us to cascade knowledge and new perspectives to our international partners and to better integrate disability inclusion into existing policies, tools and documentation.”
