Our work in Nepal

Dominated by the Himalayas, Nepal has a population of around 30 million people. Its mountainous location leaves the country vulnerable to natural disasters. There are also high levels of visual impairment and blindness, especially in rural areas with limited access to health care.

Over 40 years of sight-saving work

We’ve been working as a Christian charity in Nepal to support access to inclusive eye health services for over 40 years. We’re still working with our first partner in the country, the National Society for Comprehensive Eye Care, today. Alongside our sight-saving work, we support people with disabilities to earn a living and provide inclusive humanitarian assistance after natural disasters.
