Will you help CBM UK save the sight of children like Samjhana and Anshu with a donation this Christmas?

The miracle gift of sight

Samjhana, ten, and Anshu, six, are siblings. They live in rural Nepal, South Asia. Both have learning disabilities, and both have lost their sight due to blinding cataracts in both of their eyes.

Sushila, the siblings’ mother, has a small plot of land where she grows seasonal food to support the family. Living in poverty in one of the world’s poorest places the family are unable to afford the medical treatment that could restore Samjhana and Anshu’s sight.

You can help restore sight for children and families like Sushila’s with a donation this Christmas.

Anshu has his left eye examined by a man in a CBM jacket. With a donation this Christmas CBM UK can reach more children at risk of losing their eyesight.

A donation this Christmas can transform children’s lives

Life in rural Nepal poses challenges itself, with rocky mountains and landscape prone to natural disasters. Often people find themselves far from hospitals or medical care, unable to afford the transportation.

A gift from you can bring transformational change for children at risk of becoming blinded by cataracts. Together, with your support and alongside our dedicated local partners, we can restore sight before it’s too late.

My children do not talk much with outsiders or socialise easily, […] they help me around the home with chores, but don’t go out to play or do anything outside. They only play at home.
