Aanand, aged 7, from Nepal, South Asia, couldn’t see well enough to play, so the other children mocked him and sent him away.

Unable to see clearly due to cataracts in both his eyes, Aanand struggled to keep up in school, and even simple joys like playing marbles with his friends became impossible.

Aanand has high hopes for his own future. He told us, “After studying, I want to become a doctor. I want to fix the eyes of other children who are suffering.”

Will you share a message of hope for children like Aanand this Christmas?
