Rapid Response

Will you send a gift to help make sure in times of crisis, no-one is left behind?

People with disabilities are already some of the poorest in their communities.

But at times of crisis such as a natural disaster, they are also the most at risk.

They may struggle to walk long distances, hear life-saving instructions or queue for food.

So when a crisis hits, our CBM teams drop everything to get support out to vulnerable families and people with disabilities, so they can get food, clean water and medicine.

Every hour can make a difference to the most vulnerable people living through some of the worst situations imaginable.

Could you make a donation today so urgent help reaches someone living through the worst of times?

Those people include children like Liasoa, who is just 9 years old.

Liasoa has lived with a physical and intellectual disability since birth. She can neither walk, speak, feed herself or chew solid food, so she relies on her grandmother for everything.

Traveling is particularly challenging for her grandmother as she has to carry Liasoa on her back to fetch water, wood or to go to the market, an exhausting routine for her age.

But Liasoa also lives in Southern Madagascar - which has seen back-to-back droughts since November 2020 and where over a million people are now at risk of starvation.

To make matters even more desperate, the country has recently been hit by a cyclone with entire villages being swept away in the storm.

Our determined front-line team reports success in getting your aid to where it is most needed: to children like Liasoa and her grandmother.

But there are many more vulnerable people around the world who may need your help in a heartbeat.
