Diane Louise Jordan visiting sight-saving work

Posted on: Friday, February 14th, 2020

Broadcaster Diane Louise Jordan, known for presenting Blue Peter and Songs of Praise, is visiting Rwanda to witness the life-changing impact of our sight-saving projects first hand.

CBM supporter Diane will meet people living with visual impairments and find out about how support from the UK public is having a huge impact in making eye-health services available to some of the poorest people in Rwanda. Both of her parents developed the eye disease glaucoma and Diane is keen to raise awareness of the impact of avoidable blindness, as both of her parents experienced sight problems.

Diane’s visit will coincide with the start of a new project to deliver eye health services in rural Rwanda, thanks to funds raised as part of last year’s See the Way appeal.
