Our Culture

At CBM UK, our vision is an inclusive world in which all people with disabilities enjoy their human rights and achieve their full potential. This starts with our organisational culture; we’re committed to building an inclusive culture where every individual is supported and enabled to help fulfil our mission.

Our culture is based on our CBM values, which shape the way that we work.

CBM UK’s work and ethos is based on and inspired by Christian values. We aim to put God’s love into action through our work to build a world where every person with a disability is valued and accepted, can enjoy their human rights and fulfil their potential. We do not evangelise. We seek out and work with the most marginalised in society, irrespective of race, gender, age or religion, recognising the equal worth of every individual.

Many of our supporters, staff and volunteers are inspired by their Christian faith. However, CBM UK recognizes that many people of all faiths and world views share our values – championing inclusion, striving for justice, pursuing excellence, embracing partnership and living with integrity. We welcome anyone who shares these values within our diverse, skilled and committed team and within the CBM family.

What our staff say

Fundraising team member: “CBM is a great organisation to work for. I work with such a committed and talented team both locally and internationally, all seeking to make a difference in the world’s poorest places.”

Supporter Relations team member: “As a parent of a child with disabilities, I find the work of CBM astounding. It doesn’t just change individual lives, it has a profound impact on entire families. What I love most about my role at CBM UK is talking to our supporters on the phone and hearing their stories.”
