"I can go anywhere now... My wheelchair is not a burden for me anymore.”
Tagari, now a young woman, is busy every day: whether as president of a self-help group, at work making nakshi kantha (traditional embroidery) or helping her mother with the household chores.
But it wasn't always this way.
Watch Tagari's story and see how gifts from supporters like you have transformed her life
You can make sure no one gets left behind.
Today, close to a million people live in the Rohingya Cox’s Bazar refugee camp in Southern Bangladesh, having been forced to flee horrific violence in their home country of Myanmar.
Conditions are tough for men, women and children, who live in makeshift shelters built close together. Simply moving around the camp to get food and essentials can be a trial.
For the over 100,000 people in Cox’s Bazar who live with disabilities, life here can be almost impossible.
Like Tagari, they can become trapped, isolated, and unable to reach help. But there is hope.
Your donation can be a lifeline to a family in crisis. You can make sure people living with disability in emergency situations are not left behind with a gift today.
Please donate what you can, and give the gift of hope now.
