Cambridgeshire businesses support See the Way

Several Cambridgeshire organisations have pledged their support for our See the Way appeal, helping to raise awareness and funds to help people with sight problems in the world’s poorest places. From putting up posters to organising fundraising activities, local opticians, churches, schools and businesses are all getting involved during the three-month appeal from 12 February-12 May.

Clamp Optometrists, based on St Andrew’s Street in central Cambridge, is one of the organisations that is supporting See the Way. David Arnott, Practice Manager, explains why:

“As opticians, we know how important eye health is to people’s lives. But it’s easy to forget that many people around the world can’t access services we take for granted, like eye tests, glasses or treatment for conditions like cataracts or glaucoma. So we’re delighted to be supporting CBM’s See the Way appeal again this year, helping train and equip eye health workers in countries like Malawi, and provide glasses and other support to people with sight problems. And we love the fact that the UK government will match donations to See the Way, so the support from our team and customers can make double the difference!”  David Arnott, Practice Manager at Clamp Optometrist

A huge thank you to all of our partners who have pledged their support for See the Way:

Cambridge 105 Radio , Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce, Clamp Opticians, Club 4 U, Green School Shop, Oakington Garden Centre, PJ Care, Premier Christian Media, St. Ivo School, St. Philips Church, Trinity Hall Chapel and QAV Partnership.

If you would like to partner with us and help to transform lives in the world’s poorest places do get in touch, we would love to hear from you. Download our fundraising resources (open link in new tab) or contact us (open link in new tab) to find out more!

UK Aid logoDonate today and your gift could help twice the number of people See the Way to a brighter future. Until 12th May 2020, all public donations to our See the Way appeal will be doubled by the UK government.  So every pound you can give will have double the impact. Your donation will help prevent blindness and transform lives wherever the need is greatest. Match funding from the UK government will improve access to sight-saving eye-health services in Malawi.
